How Great Thou Art

I just want to add to this song that I know my Savior lives and loves me. I am grateful for a Heavenly Father who watches over me. I am grateful that He sent His Son to walk with men/women, and that we have a Comforter in the Holy Ghost, who, at times, was my constant companion. I don't know where I would be without His Amazing Grace.

Thankful Always

I wrote a post a few years ago about how thankful I am. You can read it HERE.

Let me add, that I still think I am the most blessed person by my Heavenly Father. And I am thankful for the sacrifice of His Only Begotten Son, Jesus Christ. Without His Atonement, where would we be?

Have a Great Thanksgiving!

Singing in the Tabernacle with "We Also Sing"

I was privileged to sing again in the Tabernacle on Temple Square
with the singing group We Also Sing. What a wonderful experience. It wasn't
even on my bucket list when I moved here to Utah. How could I have known
to put it on my list? Just blessed.

Though it rained before and during the performance, I was able to get
a few shots of the beautiful tulips blooming everywhere on the grounds.
Happiness in abundance.

Today is the day we celebrate the birthday of Our Lord, Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer.
I love celebrating Christmas and hope I did a good job in giving my children spiritual Christmas traditions.
I know they will marry someday (my daughters are already married) and incorporate their spouses traditions in with theirs. My son gave me a compliment today and said he likes our traditions and I did a good job of giving meaning to Christmas. That made me feel good, especially since I am divorced and question if I did anything right for them.
I always keep Christmas in my heart, as Charles Dickens said it through Scrooge. I try to bring us back around to the Reason for the Season.
Today we watched a YouTube music video by The Piano Guys. It was perfect. I hope I can share it here with you so you can watch it, too. Wish me luck in posting it.
I know my Savior still lives. I know He loves me and watches over me.
I know I am loved by my Heavenly Father and I know I have the gift of the Holy Ghost ever present in my life.
Merry Christmas 2013.

"If we looked at mortality as the whole of existence, then pain, sorrow, failure, and short life would be calamity. But if we look upon life as an eternal thing stretching far into the premortal past and on into the eternal post-death future, then all happenings may be put in proper perspective.

Is there not wisdom in his giving us trials that we might rise above them, responsibilities that we might achieve, work to harden our muscles, sorrows to try our souls? Are we not exposed to temptations to test our strength, sickness that we might learn patience, death that we might be immortalized and glorified?

If all the sick for whom we pray were healed, if all the righteous were protected and the wicked destroyed, the whole program of the Father would be annulled and the basic principle of the gospel, free agency, would be ended. No man would have to live by faith." -Spencer W. Kimball

1 Nephi 1: 1, 3

...therefore I make a record of my proceedings in my days.
And I know that the record which I make is true; and I make it with mine own hand; and I make it according to my knowledge.
